Mandarin Love of Wine
Posted in Uncategorized on May 31st, 2011 by adminThe Mandarin People are now demonstrating a heightened love of fine wine, more than they ever have before. Hong kong is fast becoming the centre of the wine trading industry, as more Chinese are opting to purchase fine wines. It is even becoming a worry for some in the Western World, as there are at present fewer vintages available for sale in some areas outside of China.
At a wine auction that was held in China, some of the nations elitists came to learn from and experience the wine industry greats. Many individuals didn’t even understand the rules of wine bidding, and they were forced to be taught before commencing the sale. Soon after, costs for bottles of fine wine were surging sky high, and those with plenty of money were taking home some of the finest vintages in the world for great profits. It was clear after the very successful auction that China now has a liking for the grape. Wine collectors and wineries are sprouting up all across the nation, and soon China is expected to have the biggest wine trade in the entire world.
For Western wine collectors this is causing quite a stir. If China dominates the wine world, less fine wine is going to be imported and supplied to other parts of the world, including America. But there are others who are excited about such a serious demand for wine in China. For those collectors wanting to have one or two bottles taken off their hands, or who would like to make some extra money, they see this transition as an opportunity. For instance, selling a rare or very old bottle of wine to someone in China could mean much more money than it would gather if selling the same bottle in America, or perhaps Europe. Whatever the situation one thing is clear : China has developed a recently found love for wine!
